Through the Lens: Paris in Pictures (Part II)

French Consul Travel Paris Photography Heather Miles

If Part I was a whisper, Part II is a hum — the rhythm of a city alive in its daily rituals. Captured once again by Photographer Heather Miles during her time in Paris, this next chapter in our photo essay reveals the city in full light: energetic, elegant, and effortlessly composed.

From morning deliveries and market bustle to the movement of people framed by grand boulevards and classical symmetry, these sepia-tinted moments offer a glimpse into the structure and pulse of Paris by day.

This is Paris with its sleeves rolled up. Still beautiful. Just moving.

Once the sun came up, so the people emerged. People going about their lives, on their way to work or fun. And here were more lessons. I had to learn patience. I had to confront my own fears of photographing people in the street. It was edgy (and addictive) to walk the streets and see people in a new light. See their expressions and intent, reminding me that we all have our joys and challenges. Sometimes I captured true unguarded moments, and other times people generously gave their permission for me to photograph them.
